Hallowell® Hi-Tech® starter unit metal shelving with sway braces is engineered for fast and easy assembly and installation, offering both open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves tailored to meet varying shelving capacity requirements. The adjustable medium duty shelves are formed with two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges and are stamped on the top left corner for identification. Class 0 shelves are constructed from cold rolled sheet steel and feature roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges, with return bends resistance welded to the underside for additional strength. Welds are spaced 3" on center to enhance durability, while the sides are triple flanged to create a channel. All four corners are lapped and resistance welded for maximum rigidity and strength. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers from left to right on 1-1/2" centers for 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep shelves, with other sizes punched on 3" centers. Front and rear surfaces are also punched for attaching accessories, and the tubular front edge is designed to protect against impact loads. This shelving is suitable for uniformly distributed loads of up to 400 pounds.
