The Hallowell® Hi-Tech® starter unit metal shelving with sway braces is engineered for fast and easy assembly and installation. It is available in both open and closed styles, with medium, heavy, and extra heavy-duty shelves to accommodate specific shelving capacity requirements. The adjustable medium-duty shelves are formed with two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges and are stamped on the top left corner for identification. Class 0 shelves are made from cold rolled sheet steel, featuring roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with return bends, which are resistance welded to the underside of the shelf with welds spaced 3" on center to ensure maximum strength. The sides are triple flanged to create a channel, and all four corners are lapped and resistance welded to enhance rigidity and strength. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers on 1-1/2" centers for 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep shelves, while all other sizes are punched on 3" centers. The front and rear surfaces are designed for accessory attachment, and the tubular front edge offers protection against impact loads, supporting uniformly distributed loads of up to 400 pounds.
