The Hallowell® Hi-Tech® starter unit metal shelving with sway braces is engineered for swift and straightforward assembly and installation, offered in both open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves tailored to fulfill diverse shelving capacity needs. The adjustable medium duty shelves feature a design with two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges, stamped on the top left corner for easy identification. Class 0 shelves, constructed from cold rolled sheet steel, showcase roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with return bends, all resistance welded to the underside. Welds are spaced 3" on center to ensure maximum strength, while the sides are triple flanged to form a robust channel. Each corner is lapped and resistance welded for enhanced durability. The top surface is punched for shelf dividers, accommodating a layout from left to right on 1-1/2" centers for 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep shelves, with all other sizes punched on 3" centers. Furthermore, the front and rear surfaces are designed for attaching accessories, and the tubular front edge provides protection against impact loads, supporting uniformly distributed loads up to 400 pounds.
