Hallowell® Hi-Tech shelving is crafted for rapid assembly and installation, offered in open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves to accommodate various shelving capacity needs. Constructed from cold rolled sheet steel, the unit features 8 adjustable shelves. Each shelf is designed with two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges, and is stamped in the top left corner for easy identification. Class 2 shelves are made from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel, and consist of roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with return bends that are resistance welded to the underside for enhanced strength, with welds spaced 3" on center. The sides of the shelves are triple flanged to create a channel, while all four corners are lapped and resistance welded, ensuring a robust construction. The top surface is pre-punched to allow for shelf dividers to be attached on 1-1/2" centers from left to right for the 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep shelves, with other sizes punched on 3" centers. The front and rear surfaces are also punched for accessory attachment, and the tubular front edge is engineered to withstand impact loads. This shelving system supports uniformly distributed loads up to 1,200 pounds.
