Hallowell® Hi-Tech shelving features a design that ensures fast and easy assembly and installation, available in open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves to accommodate varying shelving capacity requirements. Constructed from cold rolled sheet steel, the shelving includes 8 adjustable shelves. Each shelf is formed with two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges and is stamped in the top left corner for identification. Class 2 shelves are made from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel, featuring roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with return bends that are resistance welded to the underside. The welds are spaced 3" on center for maximum strength, while the sides have triple flanging to create a channel. All four corners are lapped and resistance welded to ensure a rigid structure and added strength. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers from left to right on 1-1/2" centers for sizes 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep, with all other sizes punched on 3" centers. Furthermore, both the front and rear surfaces are punched for accessory attachment, and the tubular front edge is designed to withstand impact loads. This shelving system is capable of supporting uniformly distributed loads up to 1,200 pounds.
