Hallowell® Hi-Tech® starter unit metal shelving with sway braces is designed for fast and easy assembly and installation, available in open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy-duty shelves to meet specific shelving capacity requirements. The adjustable medium-duty shelves are formed with two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edge and are stamped on the top left corner for identification. Class 0 shelves are fabricated from cold rolled sheet steel, featuring roll-formed rectangular tubular-shaped front and rear edges with return bends, resistance welded to the underside for strength. Welds are spaced 3" on center for maximum stability, and sides feature a triple flanged design to form a channel. All four corners are lapped and resistance welded for a rigid structure and enhanced strength. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers from left to right on 1-1/2" centers for 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep shelves, while all other sizes are punched on 3" centers. The front and rear surfaces are also punched for attaching accessories, and the tubular front edge is designed to protect against impact loads, accommodating uniformly distributed loads of up to 400 pounds.
