Hallowell® Hi-Tech® free standing shelving is engineered for rapid assembly and installation, offered in both open and closed styles, and includes medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves to accommodate various shelving capacity needs. The adjustable medium duty shelves feature two formed ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges, stamped on the top left corner for identification. Class 0 shelves are constructed from cold rolled sheet steel, designed with roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges that include return bends, which are resistance welded to the underside of the shelf. Weld spacing is 3" on center for optimal strength, while sides are triple flanged to form a channel. All four corners are lapped and resistance welded for enhanced rigidity and durability. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers at 1-1/2" centers from left to right for 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep shelves, with other sizes punched on 3" centers. Additionally, both front and rear surfaces are punched to facilitate the attachment of accessories, and the tubular front edge is specifically designed to withstand impact loads. These shelves can support uniformly distributed loads of up to 400 pounds.
