Hallowell® Hi-Tech shelving is designed for fast and easy assembly and installation, featuring both open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves to meet specific shelving capacity requirements. Constructed from cold rolled sheet steel, the unit includes 8 adjustable shelves. Each shelf is formed with two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edge and is stamped on the top left corner for identification. Class 2 shelves are fabricated from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel, featuring roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with return bends that are resistance welded to the underside, with welds spaced 3" on center for maximum strength. The sides are triple flanged to form a channel, and all four corners are lapped and resistance welded to ensure rigidity and add extra strength. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers on 1-1/2" centers for 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep shelves, while all other sizes are punched on 3" centers. Additionally, the front and rear surfaces are punched for attaching accessories, and the tubular front edge is designed to protect against impact loads, enabling the shelving to support uniformly distributed loads up to 1,200 pounds.
