Hallowell® Hi-Tech® free standing shelving is designed for rapid assembly and installation, featuring both open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves to accommodate various shelving capacity requirements. The adjustable medium duty shelves are constructed with two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges and are marked in the top left corner for easy identification. Class 0 shelves are made from cold rolled sheet steel and feature roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with return bends, resistance welded to the underside, ensuring robust structural integrity with welds spaced 3" on center. The sides are triple flanged to create a channel, while all four corners are lapped and resistance welded for added strength. The top surface is punched for the attachment of shelf dividers at 1-1/2" centers for shelves measuring 36" wide by 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep, while other sizes feature punch holes on 3" centers. Additionally, both front and rear surfaces are punched for accessory attachment, and the tubular front edge is designed to withstand impact loads, allowing for uniformly distributed weights of up to 400 pounds.
