Hallowell® Hi-Tech® free standing shelving is engineered for fast and easy assembly and installation, available in both open and closed styles. The shelving is offered in medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty configurations to accommodate specific capacity requirements. The adjustable medium duty shelves feature a construction of two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges, with identification stamped on the top left corner. Class 0 shelves are fabricated from cold rolled sheet steel, featuring roll formed rectangular tubular shaped edges, and resistance welded return bends for enhanced durability. The welds are strategically spaced 3" on center for maximum strength, while the triple flanged sides form a channel, and all four corners are lapped and resistance welded to ensure a rigid structure. The top surface is pre-punched for attaching shelf dividers from left to right on 1-1/2" centers for shelves measuring 36" wide and 12", 15", 18", or 24" deep; larger sizes are punched on 3" centers. Furthermore, the front and rear surfaces are designed for attaching accessories, and the tubular front edge is reinforced to withstand impact loads, supporting uniformly distributed loads of up to 400 pounds.
