Hallowell® Hi-Tech free standing shelving is engineered for fast and easy assembly and installation, with options available in open and closed styles along with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves to accommodate various shelving capacity requirements. The Class 2 shelves are crafted from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel featuring roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with resistance welded return bends on the underside for enhanced durability. Welds are spaced at 3" on center for maximum strength, while the sides are triple flanged to create a channel. The corners are lapped and resistance welded to further reinforce the shelf's structure. The top surface is designed with punch holes for attaching shelf dividers spaced on 1-1/2" centers for 36" wide shelves in depths of 12", 15", 18", and 24", with other sizes punched on 3" centers. Both front and rear surfaces accommodate additional accessories, and the tubular front edge is specifically designed to withstand impact loads, allowing for uniformly distributed loads of up to 1,200 pounds.
