Hallowell® Hi-Tech free standing shelving is designed for fast and easy assembly and installation, available in open and closed styles, with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves to meet specific shelving capacity requirements. The Class 2 shelves are fabricated from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel, featuring roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with return bends resistance welded to the underside. Welds are spaced 3" on center to ensure maximum strength, while triple flanged sides form a robust channel. All four corners are lapped and resistance welded for added rigidity and strength. The top surface is punched for shelf dividers on 1-1/2" centers for 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep shelves, and on 3" centers for all other sizes. The front and rear surfaces are also punched to accommodate accessories, and the tubular front edge is designed to protect against impact loads. This shelving system supports uniformly distributed loads of up to 1,200 pounds, providing a durable and versatile storage solution.
