Hallowell® Hi-Tech free standing shelving is engineered for fast and easy assembly and installation, available in open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves to accommodate specific shelving capacity needs. The shelves, classified as Class 2, are made from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel featuring roll formed rectangular tubular front and rear edges with return bends, resistance welded to the underside of the shelf. Welds are spaced at 3" on center to ensure maximum strength, while the sides are triple flanged to create a channel, and all four corners are lapped and resistance welded for added rigidity. The top surface is punched for shelf dividers on 1-1/2" centers for 36" wide shelves with depths of 12", 15", 18", and 24", while other sizes are punched on 3" centers. Additionally, the front and rear surfaces are designed to accommodate accessories and the tubular front edge is specifically constructed to withstand impact loads. The shelving is capable of supporting uniformly distributed loads up to 1,200 pounds.
