Hallowell® Hi-Tech free standing shelving is designed for fast and easy assembly and installation, available in both open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves to accommodate specific shelving capacity requirements. The Class 2 shelves are constructed from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel, featuring roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with return bends resistance welded to the underside of the shelf. Welds are spaced 3" on center to ensure maximum strength, while the sides are triple flanged to create a channel. All four corners are lapped and resistance welded to enhance rigidity and strength. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers from left to right on 1-1/2" centers for 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep shelves, with all other sizes punched on 3" centers. Additionally, the front and rear surfaces are punched for accessory attachment, and the tubular front edge is specifically designed to protect against impact loads, supporting uniformly distributed loads up to 1,200 pounds.
