Hallowell® Hi-Tech shelving is specially designed for fast and easy assembly and installation, available in open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves to meet specific shelving capacity requirements. Constructed from cold rolled sheet steel, the shelving includes 5 adjustable shelves that feature two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges, and are stamped on the top left corner for identification. Class 2 shelves are made from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel, featuring roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with return bends, resistance welded to the underside of the shelf. Welds are spaced 3" on center to ensure maximum strength, and sides are triple flanged to form a channel. All four corners are lapped and resistance welded to enhance rigidity and strength. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers on 1-1/2" centers front and back for shelves measuring 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep, while all other sizes are punched on 3" centers. The front and rear surfaces are also punched for attaching accessories, and the tubular front edge is designed to protect against impact loads. The shelving is suitable for uniformly distributed loads up to 1,200 pounds.
