Hallowell® Hi-Tech® shelving is a robust shelving line engineered for industrial applications, combining strength and versatility suitable for modern facilities. Each shelving unit is constructed from heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel, designed for lifelong use without compromising integrity. The open style free-standing shelving features sway braces for added stability and is optimized for quick assembly and installation. Class 1 shelves are characterized by roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges, with resistance welded return bends underneath, spaced 3" on center to enhance strength. The sides are triple flanged to create a channel, and all four corners are lapped and resistance welded for added rigidity. The top surface has punched holes for attaching shelf dividers on 1-1/2" centers for shelves measuring 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep, while other sizes are punched on 3" centers. Additionally, front and rear surfaces are also punched for accessory attachment. The tubular front edge is designed to absorb impact loads, supporting uniformly distributed loads of up to 800 pounds.
