Hallowell® Hi-Tech shelving is expertly crafted for rapid assembly and installation, featuring open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves tailored to various capacity specifications. Constructed from cold rolled sheet steel, the unit boasts five adjustable shelves, each formed with two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges, and stamped in the top left corner for easy identification. Class 2 shelves are made from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel and include roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with return bends, which are resistance welded to the underside for enhanced durability. The welds are spaced 3 inches on center to maximize strength, while the triple flanged sides create a sturdy channel. All corners are lapped and resistance welded to ensure a rigid structure and additional shelf strength. The top surface is pre-punched for shelf dividers to be attached at 1-1/2 inch centers for 36-inch wide shelves and at 3-inch centers for other sizes, facilitating easy customization. Front and rear surfaces feature punch-outs for accessory attachment, and a tubular front edge is designed to withstand impact loads, accommodating uniformly distributed loads of up to 1,200 pounds.
