Hallowell® Hi-Tech shelving is specially designed for fast and easy assembly and installation, featuring both open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy-duty shelves to fulfill various shelving capacity requirements. Constructed from cold rolled sheet steel, the shelving includes 5 adjustable shelves, formed with two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges, and stamped in the top left corner for identification. Class 2 shelves are made from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel, with roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges that include return bends resistance welded to the underside for added strength. Welds are spaced 3" on center for maximum durability, while the sides are triple flanged to form a channel. Each corner is lapped and resistance welded to create a rigid corner, enhancing the shelf's overall strength. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers on 1-1/2" centers for shelves measuring 36" wide by 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep, with all other sizes punched on 3" centers. Additionally, the front and rear surfaces are punched for attaching accessories, and the tubular front edge offers protection against impact loads. This shelving system is capable of supporting uniformly distributed loads of up to 1,200 pounds.
