Hallowell® Hi-Tech free standing shelving is designed for fast and easy assembly and installation, available in open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves to meet specific shelving capacity requirements. The Class 2 shelves are fabricated from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel and feature roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with resistance welded return bends on the underside of the shelf, with welds spaced 3" on center to ensure maximum strength. The sides are triple flanged to form a channel, and all four corners are lapped and resistance welded to enhance rigidity and strength. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers on 1-1/2" centers front and back for sizes 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep, while all other sizes are punched on 3" centers. Additionally, the front and rear surfaces are punched for attaching accessories, and the tubular front edge is designed to protect against impact loads. The shelving is suitable for uniformly distributed loads up to 1,200 pounds.
