Hallowell® Hi-Tech free standing shelving is specially designed for fast and easy assembly and installation, available in open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves to meet specific shelving capacity requirements. The shelves feature two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edge, stamped on the top left corner for identification. Class 2 shelves are fabricated from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel, with roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges and return bends resistance welded to the underside. Welds are spaced 3" on center to provide maximum strength, while the sides are triple flanged to form a channel. All four corners are lapped and resistance welded for added stability. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers on 1-1/2" centers for 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep shelves, with all other sizes punched on 3" centers. The front and rear surfaces are also punched for attaching accessories, and the tubular front edge is designed to protect against impact loads. This shelving system is capable of supporting uniformly distributed loads up to 1,200 pounds.
