Hallowell® Hi-Tech free standing shelving is designed for efficient assembly and installation, available in open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves to meet specific shelving capacity needs. The Class 2 shelves are constructed from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel, featuring roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with return bends that are resistance welded to the underside for enhanced durability. Welds are spaced 3" on center, maximizing strength, while triple flanged sides form a channel, and all four corners are lapped and resistance welded for added rigidity. The top surface is punched to allow for shelf dividers spaced at 1-1/2" centers for 36" wide with depths of 12", 15", 18", and 24"; other sizes are punched on 3" centers. Additionally, front and rear surfaces are also punched for accessory attachment, and the tubular front edge is engineered to withstand impact loads. This shelving system can support uniformly distributed loads of up to 1,200 pounds.
