Hallowell® Hi-Tech® shelving is a robust shelving line designed to support most industrial applications while offering the versatility needed for contemporary facilities. Each shelving unit is engineered to withstand daily use over a lifetime without compromising its structural integrity. This open style, free-standing shelving, equipped with sway braces, is constructed from cold rolled sheet steel and is designed for quick and straightforward assembly and installation. The shelves feature two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges, and are stamped on the top left corner for easy identification. Class 1 shelves are crafted from heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel, characterized by roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges, with return bends that are resistance welded to the underside for added durability. Welds are spaced 3" on center to enhance strength, while the sides are triple flanged to create a channel. All four corners are lapped and resistance welded to ensure a rigid structure, providing additional strength. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers on 1-1/2" centers for 36" wide shelves with depths of 12", 15", 18", and 24", whereas all other sizes feature punch centers of 3". Additionally, both front and rear surfaces are punched to accommodate various accessories, and the tubular front edge is designed to absorb impact loads, supporting uniformly distributed loads of up to 800 pounds.
