Hallowell® Hi-Tech shelving is engineered for rapid assembly and installation, offered in both open and closed styles with varying capacities including medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves to suit diverse shelving needs. Constructed from cold rolled sheet steel, the shelving system features six adjustable shelves and is designed with two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges while stamped on the top left corner for identification. The Class 2 shelves are made from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel, featuring roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with return bends that are resistance welded to the underside of the shelf, with welds spaced 3" on center for enhanced strength. The triple flanged sides form a channel, and all four corners are lapped and resistance welded for added rigidity. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers on 1-1/2" centers for 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep shelves, with other sizes punched on 3" centers. Additionally, the front and rear surfaces are punched for accessory attachments, and the tubular front edge is designed to withstand impact loads, accommodating uniformly distributed loads of up to 1,200 pounds.
