Hallowell® Hi-Tech free standing shelving is designed for fast and easy assembly and installation, available in both open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves tailored to specific shelving capacity requirements. The Class 2 shelves are constructed from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel and feature roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges, with return bends resistance welded to the underside for added strength. Welds are spaced 3" on center to ensure maximum durability, while the sides are triple flanged to create a channel. All corners are lapped and resistance welded, providing a rigid structure and enhanced strength. The top surface is punctured for shelf dividers to be attached from left to right on 1-1/2" centers for sizes 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep, with all other sizes punched on 3" centers. Additionally, the front and rear surfaces allow for attaching accessories, and the tubular front edge is designed to withstand impact loads, supporting uniformly distributed loads of up to 1,200 pounds.
