Hallowell® Hi-Tech free standing shelving is designed for fast and easy assembly and installation, available in open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves to meet specific shelving capacity requirements. The Class 2 shelves are fabricated from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel, featuring roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with return bends, and are stamped on the top left corner for identification. Welds are spaced 3" on center to maximize strength, while the sides are triple flanged to form a channel. All four corners are lapped and resistance welded to provide a rigid corner and enhance shelf strength. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers from left to right on 1-1/2" centers for 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep shelves, while all other sizes are punched on 3" centers. The front and rear surfaces are also punched for attaching accessories, and the tubular front edge is designed to protect against impact loads. The shelving is used for uniformly distributed loads up to 1,200 pounds.
