Hallowell® Hi-Tech® shelving is a robust shelving line engineered for strength and versatility, making it suitable for various industrial applications. Each unit is crafted from cold-rolled sheet steel for durability and designed for easy assembly and installation. The open-style free-standing shelving features sway braces, with shelves constructed from heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel. Class 1 shelves have roll-formed rectangular tubular front and rear edges, complemented by resistance-welded return bends on the underside, ensuring maximum strength with welds spaced 3" on center. The sides are triple flanged, forming a channel, while all four corners are lapped and resistance welded for added rigidity. The top surface is specifically punched for attaching shelf dividers at 1-1/2" centers for 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep shelves, with other sizes punched on 3" centers. Additionally, front and rear surfaces are punched for accessory attachment, and the tubular front edge offers protection against impact loads, supporting uniformly distributed loads of up to 800 pounds.
