Hallowell® Hi-Tech free standing shelving is designed for fast and easy assembly and installation, available in open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves to meet specific shelving capacity requirements. The Class 2 shelves are fabricated from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel, featuring roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with return bends that are resistance welded to the underside of the shelf, providing maximum strength with welds spaced 3" on center. The sides are triple flanged to form a channel, and all four corners are lapped and resistance welded for added strength. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers from left to right on 1-1/2" centers for 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep shelves, while all other sizes are punched on 3" centers. The front and rear surfaces are also punched for attaching accessories, and the tubular front edge is specifically designed to protect against impact loads, accommodating uniformly distributed loads up to 1,200 pounds.
