Hallowell® Hi-Tech® shelving is a robust shelving solution designed for industrial applications, offering the strength and versatility required by modern facilities. Each unit is crafted from cold rolled sheet steel and features an open style free-standing design with sway braces, ensuring durability and ease of assembly. The shelves are classified as Class 1 and are constructed from heavy gauge steel, with roll-formed, rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges. Resistance welded roll formed edges provide maximum strength, with welds spaced 3 inches apart. The sides are triple flanged to form a channel, and all four corners are lapped and resistance welded for enhanced rigidity. The top surface is pre-punched for attaching shelf dividers on 1-1/2 inch centers for shelves measuring 36 inches wide by 12, 15, 18, or 24 inches deep; all other sizes feature punch holes on 3-inch centers. Additionally, front and rear surfaces are pre-punched for accessory attachment, while the tubular front edge aids in protecting against impact loads. Each shelf can support uniformly distributed loads up to 800 pounds, ensuring reliability for various operational needs.
