Hallowell® Hi-Tech shelving is engineered for fast and easy assembly and installation, available in both open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves tailored to meet specific shelving capacity requirements. Constructed from cold rolled sheet steel, the shelving units feature 6 adjustable shelves, each formed with two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges and stamped on the top left corner for identification. The Class 2 shelves are made from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel, featuring roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with return bends that are resistance welded to the underside, with welds spaced 3" on center for enhanced strength. The sides are triple flanged to create a channel, while all four corners are lapped and resistance welded to ensure a rigid structure and additional strength. The top surface is punched to allow for shelf dividers to be attached from left to right on 1-1/2" centers at the front and back for 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep shelves, with all other sizes punched on 3" centers. The front and rear surfaces are also punched for accessory attachment, and the tubular front edge is specifically designed to withstand impact loads, supporting uniformly distributed loads of up to 1,200 pounds.
