Hallowell® Hi-Tech free standing shelving is designed for fast and easy assembly and installation, available in both open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves to fulfill various shelving capacity requirements. The shelves, categorized as Class 2, are constructed from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel, featuring roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with return bends that are resistance welded to the underside for enhanced durability. Welds are spaced 3" on center to maximize strength, while the sides are triple flanged to create a channel, and all four corners are lapped and resistance welded to provide added rigidity. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers on 1-1/2" centers for the 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep shelves, with other sizes punched on 3" centers, and both front and rear surfaces are also punched for accessory attachment. The tubular front edge is specifically designed to safeguard against impact loads, supporting uniformly distributed loads of up to 1,200 pounds.
