Hallowell® Hi-Tech® free standing shelving is engineered for rapid assembly and installation, featuring both open and closed styles with options for medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves to accommodate various shelving capacity needs. The adjustable medium duty shelves are constructed with two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges, and they are marked on the top left corner for easy identification. Class 0 shelves are made from cold rolled sheet steel with roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges and return bends that are resistance welded to the underside for enhanced durability. Welds are spaced 3" on center to ensure maximum strength, while triple flanged sides create a channel for stability. All four corners are lapped and resistance welded, adding rigidity and strength to the shelf. The top surface is punched for the attachment of shelf dividers on 1-1/2" centers along the front and back for shelves sized 36" wide by 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep, with other sizes punched on 3" centers. The front and rear surfaces are also punched for attaching various accessories, and the tubular front edge is designed to withstand impact loads, supporting uniformly distributed loads of up to 400 pounds.
