Hallowell® Hi-Tech® free standing shelving is engineered for rapid assembly and installation, featuring both open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves to accommodate various shelving capacity needs. The adjustable medium duty shelves are crafted with two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges and are stamped in the top left corner for identification. Class 0 shelves are constructed from cold rolled sheet steel with roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges, and return bends that are resistance welded to the underside of the shelf. Welds are spaced 3" on center to ensure maximum strength, while the sides are triple flanged to create a channel. All four corners are lapped and resistance welded to enhance rigidity and strength. The top surface is punched to allow for shelf dividers to be attached from left to right on 1-1/2" centers for 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep shelves, with other sizes punched on 3" centers. Both front and rear surfaces are designed for attaching accessories, and the tubular front edge offers protection against impact loads, supporting uniformly distributed loads of up to 400 pounds.
