The Hallowell® Hi-Tech® starter unit metal shelving with sway braces is engineered for quick and straightforward assembly and installation, available in both open and closed styles. It features medium, heavy, and extra heavy-duty adjustable shelves tailored to meet various shelving capacity requirements. The medium-duty shelves are constructed with two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges and are identified by a stamp on the top left corner. Class 0 shelves, made from cold rolled sheet steel, feature roll formed rectangular tubular shaped edges with return bends, resistance welded to the underside for added durability. Welds are spaced 3" on center to ensure maximum strength, while the sides are triple flanged to create a channel. All corners are lapped and resistance welded for enhanced stability. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers at 1-1/2" centers for shelves measuring 36" wide with depths of 12", 15", 18", and 24", whereas other sizes are punched on 3" centers. The front and rear surfaces are also punched for accessory attachment, and the tubular front edge is designed to absorb impact loads. This shelving unit supports uniformly distributed loads of up to 400 pounds.
