Hallowell® Hi-Tech® starter unit metal shelving is designed for fast and easy assembly and installation, available in open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves tailored to specific shelving capacity requirements. The adjustable extra heavy duty shelves are formed with two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edge, stamped in the top left corner for identification. Class 2 shelves are constructed from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel featuring roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with return bends, resistance welded to the underside for enhanced strength. Welds are spaced 3" on center to maximize durability, while the sides are triple flanged to create a channel. All four corners are lapped and resistance welded, ensuring a rigid structure and added shelf strength. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers from left to right on 1-1/2" centers for 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep shelves, with other sizes punched on 3" centers. Both front and rear surfaces are also punched for attaching accessories, and the tubular front edge is designed for protection against impact loads, supporting uniformly distributed loads up to 1,200 pounds.
