Hallowell® Hi-Tech® starter unit metal shelving features a design that allows for fast and easy assembly and installation, available in both open and closed styles with a range of shelving capacities to meet specific requirements. The adjustable extra heavy-duty shelves are formed with two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges, labeled on the top left corner for easy identification. Class 2 shelves are constructed from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel and feature roll-formed rectangular tubular-shaped front and rear edges with return bends that are resistance welded to the underside of the shelf. Welded joints are spaced 3" on center for maximum strength, while the sides are triple flanged to create a channel. All four corners are lapped and resistance welded, enhancing the shelf's rigidity and strength. The top surface is stamped for attaching shelf dividers on 1-1/2" centers for 36" wide x 12", 15", 18" and 24" deep shelves, while all other sizes have punch holes on 3" centers. Additionally, the front and rear surfaces are designed for attaching accessories, and the tubular front edge provides protection against impact loads. This shelving is rated for uniformly distributed loads of up to 1,200 pounds.
