Hallowell® Hi-Tech® shelving is designed for fast and easy assembly and installation, featuring both open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves to meet various shelving capacity requirements. Constructed from cold rolled sheet steel, the system includes 8 adjustable shelves, each formed with two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edge, and stamped on the top left corner for identification. Class 0 shelves are made from cold rolled sheet steel with roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges, featuring return bends that are resistance welded to the underside for enhanced strength. Welds are spaced 3" on center, ensuring maximum durability, while the sides are triple flanged to form a channel. All four corners are lapped and resistance welded for added rigidity and strength. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers from left to right on 1-1/2" centers for shelves that are 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep; other sizes are punched on 3" centers. Accessory attachment is facilitated by punched front and rear surfaces, and the tubular front edge is specifically designed to protect against impact loads, accommodating uniformly distributed loads up to 400 pounds.
