Hallowell® Hi-Tech shelving is engineered for quick and straightforward assembly and installation, available in both open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy-duty shelves to suit various shelving capacity requirements. Constructed from cold-rolled sheet steel, the shelving features five adjustable shelves, each formed with two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges, stamped on the top left corner for identification. Class 2 shelves are made from extra heavy gauge cold-rolled sheet steel, equipped with roll-formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges, having return bends that are resistance welded to the underside. Welds are spaced 3" on center to ensure maximum strength, while sides are triple flanged to form a channel. Each corner is lapped and resistance welded for rigidity and added strength. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers on 1-1/2" centers for 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep shelves, with all other sizes punched on 3" centers. Front and rear surfaces are also punched for attaching accessories, and the tubular front edge is designed to withstand impact loads, accommodating uniformly distributed loads up to 1,200 pounds.
