Hallowell® Hi-Tech® shelving is designed for fast and easy assembly and installation, available in open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves to accommodate various shelving capacity requirements. The shelves are constructed from cold rolled sheet steel and feature six adjustable shelves. Each shelf is formed with two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edge and is stamped on the top left corner for identification. The Class 0 shelves have roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with return bends, which are resistance welded to the underside of the shelf, with welds spaced 3" on center for maximum strength. The sides are triple flanged to form a channel, and all four corners are lapped and resistance welded to provide a rigid corner and additional strength. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers from left to right on 1-1/2" centers for 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep shelves, while other sizes are punched on 3" centers. The front and rear surfaces are also punched for attaching accessories, and the tubular front edge is designed to protect against impact loads, allowing for uniformly distributed loads of up to 400 pounds.
