Hallowell® Hi-Tech free standing shelving is designed for fast and easy assembly and installation, available in open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves to meet various shelving capacity requirements. The shelves are fabricated from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel, featuring roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with return bends resistance welded to the underside for enhanced strength. The design includes two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges, with welds spaced 3" on center to ensure maximum durability. The sides are triple flanged to create a channel, and all four corners are lapped and resistance welded, providing a rigid structure. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers at 1-1/2" centers for 36" wide shelves with depths of 12", 15", 18", and 24", while all other sizes feature 3" center punch holes. Additionally, front and rear surfaces are punched for attaching accessories, and the tubular front edge protects against impact loads. The shelving is rated for uniformly distributed loads of up to 1,200 pounds.
