Hallowell® Hi-Tech free standing shelving offers fast and easy assembly and installation, suitable in both open and closed styles, with capacity options for medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves. The Class 2 shelves are constructed from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel, featuring roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with return bends, and are stamped on the top left corner for identification. Welds are spaced 3" on center to enhance strength, while sides are triple flanged to form a channel, and all four corners are lapped and resistance welded for added rigidity. The top surface is punched for shelf dividers at 1-1/2" centers for 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep shelves, with all other sizes punched on 3" centers. Both front and rear surfaces are also punched for accessory attachment, and the tubular front edge is designed to provide protection against impact loads, supporting uniformly distributed loads up to 1,200 pounds.
