Hallowell® Hi-Tech® free standing shelving is specially designed for fast and easy assembly and installation, available in open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves to meet specific shelving capacity requirements. The adjustable medium duty shelves are formed with two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edge and are stamped on the top left corner for identification. Class 0 shelves are fabricated from cold rolled sheet steel and feature roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with return bends resistance welded to the underside of the shelf. Welds are spaced 3" on center to provide maximum strength, while the sides are triple flanged to form a channel. All four corners are lapped and resistance welded to enhance corner rigidity and shelf strength. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers from left to right on 1-1/2" centers, front and back, for sizes of 36" wide by 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep, with all other sizes punched on 3" centers. The front and rear surfaces are also punched for attaching accessories, and the tubular front edge is designed to protect against impact loads, supporting uniformly distributed loads up to 400 pounds.
