Hallowell® Hi-Tech® free standing shelving is engineered for rapid assembly and installation, offering open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves to accommodate various shelving capacity needs. The medium duty adjustable shelves are constructed with two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges and are stamped in the top left corner for easy identification. Class 0 shelves, made from cold rolled sheet steel, feature roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with resistance welded return bends on the underside, spaced 3" on center for maximum strength. The sides are triple flanged, creating a channel, and all four corners are lapped and resistance welded to enhance structural integrity. The top surface is engineered with punch holes for shelf dividers on 1-1/2" centers from left to right for shelves measuring 36" wide by 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep, while all other sizes have punch holes on 3" centers. Additionally, the front and rear surfaces accommodate various accessories, and the tubular front edge is designed to withstand impact loads, supporting uniformly distributed loads up to 400 pounds.
