Hallowell® Hi-Tech shelving is specially designed for fast and easy assembly and installation, available in open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves to meet specific shelving capacity requirements. Constructed from cold rolled sheet steel, the unit includes 6 adjustable shelves that are formed with two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges and are stamped on the top left corner for identification. Class 2 shelves are fabricated from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel and feature roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with return bends resistance welded to the underside of the shelf. Welds are spaced 3" on center to provide maximum strength, and sides are triple flanged to form a channel. All four corners are lapped and resistance welded to ensure a rigid corner and to enhance the shelf's strength. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers from left to right on 1-1/2" centers for 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep shelves, while all other sizes are punched on 3" centers. Additionally, front and rear surfaces are punched for attaching accessories, and the tubular front edge is designed to protect against impact loads, supporting uniformly distributed loads up to 1,200 pounds.
