Hallowell® Hi-Tech shelving is engineered for rapid assembly and installation, featuring both open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves to accommodate various shelving capacity needs. Constructed from cold rolled sheet steel, the system includes five adjustable shelves, each formed with two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges and stamped on the top left corner for identification. Class 2 shelves are made from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel and showcase roll-formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with return bends, resistance welded to the underside for maximum strength, with welds spaced 3" on center. The sides are triple-flanged to create a channel, while all four corners are lapped and resistance welded to enhance structural integrity. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers on 1-1/2" centers front and back for shelves measuring 36" wide by 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep, while all other sizes have punch holes on 3" centers. Front and rear surfaces are also punched for accessory attachment, and the tubular front edge is designed to withstand impact loads, supporting uniformly distributed loads of up to 1,200 pounds.
