Hallowell® Hi-Tech® shelving is designed for fast and easy assembly and installation, available in open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy-duty shelves to meet specific shelving capacity requirements. Constructed from cold-rolled sheet steel, this system features 6 adjustable shelves and includes shelves that are fabricated with roll-formed rectangular tubular-shaped front and rear edges, featuring return bends that are resistance welded to the underside to ensure maximum strength. The welds are spaced 3 inches on center, and the sides are triple-flanged to form a channel, while all four corners are lapped and resistance welded to provide rigidity and added strength. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers from left to right on 1-1/2-inch centers for the 36-inch wide x 12, 15, 18, and 24-inch deep shelves, with all other sizes punched on 3-inch centers. Additionally, the front and rear surfaces come punched for attaching accessories. The tubular front edge is designed to protect against impact loads, and the shelving system is capable of supporting uniformly distributed loads up to 400 pounds.
