Hallowell® Hi-Tech® free standing shelving is designed for fast and easy assembly and installation, available in open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves to meet specific shelving capacity requirements. The adjustable medium duty shelves feature formed ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges, stamped on the top left corner for identification. Class 0 shelves are fabricated from cold rolled sheet steel with roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges, and resistance welded return bends on the underside for added strength, with welds spaced 3" on center. The sides are triple flanged to create a channel, and all four corners are lapped and resistance welded to ensure rigidity and extra strength. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers on 1-1/2" centers for shelves measuring 36" wide and 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep, while other sizes are punched on 3" centers. Front and rear surfaces are also punched for attaching accessories, and the tubular front edge is engineered to protect against impact loads, supporting uniformly distributed loads up to 400 pounds.
