Hallowell® Hi-Tech® free standing shelving is engineered for rapid assembly and installation, featuring both open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy-duty shelves to accommodate various shelving capacity requirements. The medium duty adjustable shelves are constructed with two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edge and are stamped on the top left corner for identification. Class 0 shelves are made from cold rolled sheet steel, featuring roll-formed rectangular tubular front and rear edges with return bends that are resistance welded to the underside of the shelf, with weld spacing of 3" on center for enhanced strength. The sides are triple flanged to form a channel, and all four corners are lapped and resistance welded to create a rigid corner, providing additional strength. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers at 1-1/2" centers from left to right for 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep shelves, with all other sizes punched on 3" centers. Front and rear surfaces are also punched for accommodating accessories, while the tubular front edge is designed to withstand impact loads. This shelving unit supports uniformly distributed loads of up to 400 pounds.
