Hallowell® Hi-Tech® free standing shelving is specially designed for fast and easy assembly and installation, available in open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves to meet specific shelving capacity requirements. The adjustable medium duty shelves are formed with two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edge and are stamped on the top left corner for identification. Class 0 shelves are fabricated from cold rolled sheet steel and feature roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with return bends, resistance welded to the underside for maximum strength, with welds spaced 3 inches on center. The sides are triple flanged to form a channel, and all four corners are lapped and resistance welded to provide a rigid corner and enhanced strength. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers from left to right on 1-1/2 inch centers for 36 inch wide x 12 inch, 15 inch, 18 inch, and 24 inch deep shelves, while all other sizes are punched on 3 inch centers. Both the front and rear surfaces are punched for attaching accessories, and the tubular front edge is designed to protect against impact loads, accommodating uniformly distributed loads up to 400 pounds.
