Hallowell® Hi-Tech® shelving is a robust shelving line engineered to meet the demands of various industrial applications while offering versatility for modern facilities. Each shelving unit is constructed to endure daily use for a lifetime without compromising its structural integrity. The Hi-Tech® open style free-standing shelving features sway braces and is composed of cold rolled sheet steel, enabling fast and easy assembly and installation. Each shelf is designed with two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges, and it is stamped on the top left corner for identification. Class 1 shelves are made from heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel, featuring roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with return bends that are resistance welded to the underside. The welds are spaced 3" on center to ensure maximum strength, while the sides are triple flanged to create a channel for durability. All four corners are lapped and resistance welded to enhance shelf rigidity. The top surface is punched to accommodate shelf dividers at 1-1/2" centers from left to right on the 36" wide shelves, available in 12", 15", 18", and 24" depths, while all other sizes have punch holes at 3" centers. Additionally, the front and rear surfaces are also punched for accessory attachment, and the tubular front edge is designed to resist impact loads. This shelving system is capable of supporting uniformly distributed loads up to 800 pounds.
