Hallowell® Hi-Tech® starter unit metal shelving is engineered for swift assembly and installation, featuring both open and closed styles with varying shelf capacities including medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty options. The adjustable shelves are constructed with two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges and are marked on the top left corner for easy identification. Class 2 shelves are made from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel, incorporating roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with return bends that are resistance welded to the underside for enhanced durability. The welds are strategically spaced 3" on center to ensure maximum strength, while the triple flanged sides create a channel for added rigidity. Each corner is lapped and resistance welded for increased shelf integrity. The top surface features punch holes for attaching shelf dividers at 1-1/2" centers on the front and back for sizes 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep, with all other dimensions punched on 3" centers. The front and rear surfaces are also punched for attaching various accessories, and the tubular front edge is designed to withstand impact loads. This shelving system is capable of supporting uniformly distributed loads of up to 1,200 pounds.
